Comment: I am not a Works user, but my boyfriend is, and he just bought a new laptop and wanted Works. It installed so quickly that I thought it wasn't working. I played around on it a little after I installed it and think it is great--has a lot of nice little features that could be useful. My friend swears by it, but I think it is just because he never used Word. So who knows...

Summary: Why would anyone buy this?
Comment: I did a search to see if this item was even being sold anymore. I am shocked to find out that it is. What can this do that OpenOffice or Google Docs can't do? (which are both free)
Now I almost still need a need for Microsoft Office for real Office Junkies, but for basic office stuff, do the free stuff. It is probably more comptatible with Microsoft Office than Microsoft Works.

Comment: The MS Works9 CD started to install, doing all the preliminay things, but, when it came to "Installing" a window came on saying it was canceling. You very generously sent a replacement, which did the same thing. I cannot get it to work!! I have returned the original CD.

Summary: Compatibility Nightmare
Comment: I'am a new user of VISTA. Works comes free with the new operating system. The problem is I CANNOT open old documents, modify them and then send the end product to my friends to use. Either they cannot open the works document or if they can, I cannot use it when it comes back. How can this be, Microsoft word documents are not inter-changeable with Works documents. What a nightmare!
